Just like morse code wouldn't make much sense without the pauses between the beeps..

Would a feeling without pauses really ever be felt?

If it wouldn't strike out of nowhere only to draw back again,
and then just when we've succeeded in convincing ourselves that it was just our imagination,
it attacks us from behind,
would we pay attention to it?
would it still affect us,
or would we just put it on our to-take-care-of-list for a less busy day?

Offense is the best defense i've heard and lived.
I think the feeling is fighting hard,
not to let us kill it.

Tänk att jag tänkt samma sak men kopplat det till musik istället; tomrummet mellan noterna är helt avgörande för hur det låter. Du kommer längre i din tankegång för vad skulle hända om tomrummet mellan S.O.S i en morsekod skulle bli förvrängt? Det skulle uppfattas helt fel och katastrofen skulle vara ett faktum.
